We are an Anglican community of believers in Jesus, seeking to connect to God in worship, welcome all, and bless the community of Mount Waverley and beyond.
About us
At St Philips we welcome everyone! We Worship God by gathering as a community on Sundays to grow and be inspired to genuinely live out our faith. We Witness to what God has done in sending Jesus to live, die on a cross, and rise again. This event changes everything.
Sunday Kid's Program
St Philip’s runs a kid’s program for pre-school and primary school aged children every Sunday during 10am worship. Kids explore their relationship with God, during the sermon or ‘ministry of the word’ part, and return to celebrate the Lord’s Supper with families.
Our team
Rev Ruth Newmarch
Hi I’m Ruth! It’s great to be part of the community of God as St Philip’s. Each person plays their part in serving God, each other, and our wider families, friends and colleagues. I love poring over the Bible to understand God, people and the world more. I love trying to be a gardener, have a creative bent, and one of my ‘ways of being’ is living out compassion.
Rev Bre Wilkinson
Hi! I'm Bre and I am the assistant curate here at St Philips. I also lead the "Sent Collective" church plant which is partnered with St Philips. I am passionate about raising the next generation of leaders and reaching people in our local community. At Sent Collective we have a number of smaller 'microchurches' that invite people to follow Jesus.
